It is our online community of Members, who are helping shape the future of our building society by sharing their opinions with us.
As a Member of Pulse, you’ll be invited to take part in activities ranging from short surveys and chat rooms to more detailed discussions and activities. It’s your chance to have a say about our future plans, and our way of ensuring we always have a clear picture of what matters most to our Members. How often you choose to take part is entirely up to you, and in return we’ll be offering the chance to enter monthly prize draws to win vouchers.
Our Pulse community is open to all Members who have one or more Principality savings or mortgage products, and over 18 years old. To join, you’ll need to complete a short survey about yourself, so that we can confirm your eligibility and tailor future surveys to your interests. You can find this registration survey if you go to the Register page of this website.
At Principality Building Society, we’re committed to your privacy. That’s why we adhere to the MRS market research standards. For more information on how we protect your confidentiality, click here to see our complete privacy policy.
No, participation is free – after all, you’ll be helping us with your input. Joining our community is also a great way to chat to other Members through online discussions, share ideas, and have the chance to enter prize draws for shopping vouchers.
Member Pulse is currently for UK residents only.
Don’t worry. Simply go to the Homepage on this website, click on the Forgot your password? link and enter your email address to request a new one.
For each activity, you’ll receive an invite via email to take part. Many of our Pulse activities will take place online, although occasionally these may be in person or over the phone. For online activities, all you need to do is click on the link, or copy and paste the website address into your browser window. Then, simply follow the instructions on screen to complete the activity. The link to each survey will also appear on this website in the Surveys section of the Home page.
Not necessarily. If you don’t want to take part in an activity, you don’t need to. Also, we’ll always do our best to include you in activities that suit the information you provide on your profile, but sometimes we might get it wrong. The only way to know if you qualify will be to ask you at the start of each activity. If you don’t fit the criteria, we’ll try and notify you quickly and remove the activity from your page.
On average, you’ll be sent an invitation about once a month. We’ll also post regular Quick Polls on the site and create new discussion forums for you to take part in.
It’s up to you how many surveys and discussion forums you’d like to take part in.
On average, our surveys will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. However, some may be as short as 5 minutes and others longer than 15 minutes. All activities are completely voluntary and we’ll aim to let you know how long the survey may take before you commit. Also, if you can’t complete it in one go, surveys can be stopped and restarted later - right from where you left off.
Yes, Principality Pulse Members can opt out whenever they’d like to, simply by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the website.
Yes, you’ll be entered into an exciting monthly prize draw if you take part in any activity during that month. Also, there’s a chance you might receive other rewards for activities which ask a bit more of your time and thinking power, such as focus groups, usability testing sessions or diary keeping. We’ll confirm what these prizes might be when we kick off each extra activity.
Your feedback will always remain anonymous. When we collate survey results, we won’t be able to identify any individual from the responses, and the information you supply will only be used for research purposes.
